ABOUT ME
A Passion for Breeding Healthy, Loving Abyssinians
My name is Debra Sharpe, and I’ve been devoted to the Abyssinian breed for over 30 years. What began as a love for all cats — including wild ones — eventually grew into a purpose-driven journey of breeding and raising healthy, loving Abyssinians. While my passion extends into wildlife photography (particularly the urban bobcats of Calgary, Alberta), my heart has always remained close to these graceful, intelligent cats.
You can view my bobcat photography at sharpephotography.ca, or follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
Years ago, I ran a small cattery while raising my children, who grew up with Abyssinians at their feet. I’ve always believed that animals teach children compassion and a connection to nature — even in the heart of the city. Life eventually led me to pause my breeding efforts to focus on providing for my family. Now, in retirement, I’ve joyfully returned to breeding a small number of top-quality, CFA-registered Abyssinians from my home.
I raise every kitten with love, care, and deep respect for the breed standard. My kittens are healthy, well-socialized, and affectionate — and I stand behind them fully. You won’t find trendy designer mixes here; only the original, recognized CFA colors: Ruddy, Cinnamon, Blue, and Fawn.
If you’re lucky enough to welcome one of my kittens into your life, I know you’ll love them as much as I do.
With warm regards,
Debra Sharpe
